Frederic de Narp, North American president and CEO, joined Ani and Daniel Feurermann in re-opening their Cartier boutique. Anchored by a stunning, shop-stopping chandelier, the new Howe Street jewel box is bigger and brighter than its former self. Some of the city's top fashionistas, well-to-do and biggest socialites, including Carmen Ruiz y Laza, Christie King, Janelle Washington and Monika Deol, attended the Parisian designer's big bling bash.

Set in Yaletown's Opus Hotel, India's finest, most cosmopolitan district came to Vancouver's most cosmopolitan hotel. John Evan's trendy see-and-be-seen boutique property was transformed into Sector 17, India's finest, most metro and cosmo neighbourhood. Spanning three rooms, Raj Taneja's Urban Mixer group served up the sights and sounds of Chandigarh, one of India's finest cities.

Whimsical snail lights line the romantic entrance of owners David Hannay and Patrick Mercer's Brix Restaurant. Getting their Yaletown venue Olympic ready, the duo fronted a Spring Fling revealing their newly renovated eatery and wine bar.

Picking up a leading 10 Jessies live-theatre nominations recently, everything's coming up roses for Bill Millerd's Arts Club Theatre. The celebrated company presented the dusty American musical Gypsy at the Stanley Theatre.

General manager Guy Rigby hosted the biggest kitchen party in town. Opening up their massive Four Seasons Hotel kitchen, foodies feasted on executive chef Rafael Gonzales, Stephen Clark and Aaron Brooks' Latin-inspired repast.

The bubbly will be flowing at the city's most anticipated retail re-opening.

Mark your calendars. Holt Renfrew opens its new store May 31 in its new location at 737 Dunsmuir St. in Pacific Centre. The flagship store will double the size of Holt's Vancouver presence and marks the debut of the World Design Lab, Holt's salon and spa, Holtsceuticals, and the Holts colour studio. The fortunate few lucky enough to get their hands on an invitation to the exclusive A-list launch party will see celebrity DJ Dave Navarro spinning and the incomparable Patti Labelle performing.
