Up-and-coming fashion designer Megan Elizabeth Wahl died tragically last year in a car accident, but her dreams and her spirit live on, thanks to two of her closest friends, Jigme Nehring and Galit Alon, who founded Megan Elizabeth Designs in her memory. Last week, at Yaletown's Fine Finds boutique, friends, relatives and invited guests gathered to celebrate what would have been her 24th birthday. But the occasion was a happy one, and included a fashion show which unveiled some of her designs. Proceeds went to Dress for Success Vancouver, which provides career development to low-income women. 1 A little champagne and a toast to Megan's memory were in order from guests like Crystal Carson (left) and Emily Miller. 2 Gathered together before the fashion show were friends Rosana Wedenig (left), Frances Hui and Janie McCallum. 3 Megan Elizabeth Designs is a reality thanks to co-founders Jigme Nehring (left) and Galit Alon. 4 CTV weekend news anchor Keri Adams (left) and friend Rosa Marchitelli took in the fashion show from the front row. 5 Megan Elizabeth's mother, Linda Wahl, gave an emotional and heartfelt thanks to everyone who had come to honour her daughter. 6 Fashion designers and guests Alicia Grunert (left), Kate Kraumanis, Vania Winrob and Leila Bani.
